It’s beginning to look a lot like blossom time

Blossom is poking its head out despite the chilly wet weather and the hedgerows in the Vale of Evesham are turning white with the arrival of the blackthorn blooms.

Due to the weather however, the vibrant cherry plum is almost finished, but early plum and pear blossoms are starting to appear around the blossom trail, especially in The Lenches, with the main plum crops expected within the next 10 – 14 days.

Angela Tidmarsh, Tourism Officer for Wychavon said “The Blossom Trail is one of our star attractions in the district and provides a wonderful opportunity to get out and explore – whether you’re a resident or a visitor. Hopefully we’ll get a little more sun to make it all the more enjoyable!”
