Hill Climb roars back to life

The Chateau Impney Hill Climb returns to Droitwich on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 July and it’s bigger and better than ever.

With 10,000 people attending last year’s event, the inaugural Chateau Impney Hill Climb was a huge success, and this year’s event is set to be even more action-packed.

The Hill Climb course has been declared to be one of the most challenging in the country, and some of the most impressive 200 pre-1967 cars and competitors from across the world will attempt to tackle it in the hope of claiming the fastest time of the day. Spectators will be able to catch it all from the free grandstands and on large video screens throughout the site, and see the cars up-close in the friendly, open paddock.

Away from the on-track action, there will be awe-inspiring air displays from the Red Devils and the RAF Memorial Flight. Spectators can see rare classics at the Footman James Concours d’Elegance, buy their own at the H&H classic car auction, and get up-close with some of the country’s finest classic cars in the open paddock. And with some of the best food and drink producers from across the region, and fantastic products from our traders, the Chateau Impney Hill Climb is a true celebration of Worcestershire.

The original Chateau Impney speed trials were a real family affair, and the 2016 event is no different. As well as all the on-track action, there are lots of attractions for families. Not only is there a free vintage funfair, but face painting and children’s entertainers are also included in the price of the ticket.

Kids under 16 go free with any ticket-holding adult, making the Chateau Impney Hill Climb one of the best value family days out in Worcestershire this summer.
