Silver Ring Workshop

Three Little Pigs, 68 High Street, Pershore, WR10 1DU

Ever fancied designing and making your own silver ring? Perhaps creating one for yourself or as a gift for a friend? Then this is the workshop for you!

Your tutor will guide you through the stages needed to make your design, giving demonstrations and advice throughout the session. Techniques covered will include saw-piercing, texturing, soldering, and polishing. You will have the opportunity to practice the techniques first with copper, before moving onto silver. By the end of the day you will be able to take your completed ring home, fully polished!

The workshop starts at 10.00am, finishing at 4.00pm, with a half hour break for lunch. Tools and equipment will be provided, but participants are asked to provide their own protective aprons. If you already have hand tools such as pliers then you are welcome to bring these too. Enough copper and silver will be provided for a standard design and additional silver wire, sheet, and fitment supplies will be available for you to purchase on the day should you need them. This always proves to be a very interesting workshop and we look forward to seeing the results!

Anglo-Saxon Re-enactment

Broadway Village Green

This event will bring the past back to life and demonstrate how fascinating Broadways history is. The re-enactment will be run by the Regia Anglorum society who provide a realistic and captivating experience of Anglo-Saxon life.

The event will take you on a journey to over 1000 years ago, when the town of Broadway was a small farming village in the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia. The Great-Granddaughter of Alfred the Great; St Eadburgha, enjoyed visiting the area and her name has been dedicated to Broadways church.

There will be a whole host of skills and crafts from the 10th Century being demonstrated in tents on the Green, and an arena for the local warriors of Mercia and their sub-kingdom Hwicce, to show off their combat skills.

Needle Felting Workshop

Three Little Pigs, 68 High Street, Pershore, WR10 1DU

Needle felting is a fascinating craft that allows you to create 3D animals, birds and anything else your imagination allows!

If you have ever felted your favourite woollen jumper by accidentally putting it in the wash, you are already familiar with the felting process! When wool is agitated, it sticks together, creating a solid fabric. Needle felting mimics that process, but instead of agitating the wool with hot water, you are using a needle – making it possible to make not just 2D but 3D objects.

This exciting workshop is an introduction to dry needle felting. You will learn the basic techniques to get you started and your experienced tutor will guide you through the processes, working during your day to make an adorable hare.

One of the many joys of needle felting is that you can easily add your own individual touches, completely transforming the character of the woodland creature.

Your day will start at 10.00am and conclude at 4.00pm. The price of the workshop includes all the fibre and equipment required – and also your rather scrummy lunch!

This workshop is suitable for beginners. The workshops is limited to eight and we are very much looking forward to seeing eight very individual hares at the end of the day – a drove of hares, in fact!
